My Thoughts On How We Can Prevent An All Powerful AGI

With One Single Regulation(No Compromises Needed)

That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.

The Singular Regulation(Copying and Pasting Private Data)

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has brought with it a number of complex issues related to privacy, security, and ethics. While regulations around AI are still in their infancy, there is one area that should have been addressed a long time ago: copying and pasting data.

The ability to copy and paste data is a basic function that we take for granted in our everyday lives. However, in the context of AI, this simple feature can have serious consequences. For example, imagine you have private data that you share with a user. That user can then copy and paste that data into an AI interface, such as ChatGPT, without your knowledge. This could lead to your private data being exposed to unintended parties, putting your privacy, proprietary data, and potentially entire business at risk.

To address this issue, a regulation should be put in place immediately that prohibits the copying and pasting of private data into AI interfaces without the owner’s explicit consent. This regulation would not only protect individuals’ privacy but would also prevent an AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) from becoming all-powerful.

How This Solves An All Powerful AGI

By programming the AGI with the limitation of not being able to scrape private websites, it would be limited to the public web, which would force it to have second thoughts on how much it actually knows. This would prevent an AGI from gaining too much power and becoming a threat to society.

Next Steps — Binary In Text Itself

In addition to regulating the copying and pasting of data, we should also consider implementing regulations requiring text to be binary in nature. This would force us to see where the text originated from, adding an extra layer of safeguard against all-powerful AI. This would also benefit companies building AI, as it would help build trust amongst those using their AI product and prevent other AI companies from stealing proprietary data used to create their AI models.

In Conclusion — Still Have Access To Private Data If Need Be

In conclusion, the issue of copying and pasting data in the context of AI is a serious one that needs to be addressed through regulation. With the rapid development of AI technology, it is essential that we take steps to protect individuals’ privacy and prevent the development of all-powerful AGIs. By implementing regulations that limit the ability of AI to access private data and requiring text to be binary in nature, we can ensure that AI technology is developed in a responsible and ethical manner.

Companies can still give permission to AI companies to crawl data. This can be done via the existing `robots.txt` that is currently available for search engines.

Thank you as always.
